On the final day of 2013, the faculty of Languages and Communication was honoured with the visit from Kazakhstan Egyptian Islamic University, in conjunction of a 2-week visit to UniSZA. Madam Svetlana Rayeva, an English Language lecturer, was the representative.
She has been teaching English for 40 years, presently training the future imams in Kazakhstan. The purpose of her visit was to share teaching experiences and approaches regarding specifically the English for Islamic Studies courses.The discussion was attended by Dr. Normah binti Yusof (Deputy Dean of Academic and Graduate Studies), Madam Kamariah binti Yunus (Head of English Language Studies Centre), Mr. Cornelius Anuar Abdullah Mc Afee (English language teacher and also as the liaison officer for the Kazakhstan delegation), Miss Nabilah Ismail @ Abd. Latif (Head of IBF 3043 - English for ESP), and Miss Noor Baizura binti Adnan @ Anang (IBF 3043 Instructor).
Madam Rayeva provided those in attendance with the current academic situations in her university with full of refreshing outlooks on the promising future of English for Islamic Studies students for both universities.
